Momna is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Division. She specializes in: (i) financing (syndicated and bilateral conventional and Shari’ah compliant financing); (ii) equity transactions; (iii) renewable energy projects; (iv) debt property settlements; (v) subscription of shares; (vi) due diligence on target entities; (vii) public private partnership infrastructure projects; (viii) securitization; (ix) foreign exchange control; (x) shareholding arrangements; (xi) business transfers; and (x) competition/ anti-trust and ancillary matters.
Momna was part of the team that handled the joint venture, whereby a first of its kind company was established in Pakistan for the purposes of providing guarantees to enhance credit quality of local currency debt instruments to finance creditworthy infrastructure projects in Pakistan. Momna has also been involved in multiple transactions, where she advised IPP projects to avail the benefit of the Revised SBP Refinancing Scheme for Renewable Energy of 2019, including one of the first projects to avail the benefits of the revised scheme.
Momna has extensive experience in rendering legal opinions for multi-jurisdictional assignments on a wide range of matters across industries; drafting and vetting of contracts; and preparing legal environment reports for foreign clients.
Momna has also co-authored the Pakistan chapter on Global Renewable Energy Guide 2018 (issued by Çakmak Law Firm, a law firm based out of Turkey).
