Abdul Ahad is a Senior Associate in the Litigation /Dispute Resolution team of the Firm. He has been a part of the Firm since June 2018 and specializes in civil, constitutional, and commercial litigation. Abdul Ahad has regular experience in dealing with contentious and advisory matters on laws governing telecom, aviation, taxation, energy (oil and gas), arbitration, foreign awards, and national accountability bureau. Whilst he regularly assists the Senior Partner in matters before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the High Court, he has also been entrusted with independently handling and arguing cases before the High Court of Sindh. He was a part of the team representing one of Pakistan’s largest captive power producers in an ICC arbitration. He has also worked on the Constitutional Petition pending before the High Court of Sindh against Civil Aviation Authority and the Pakistan International Airlines on their failures to regulate the aviation procedures which led to the tragic plane crash of flight PK 8303.
Abdul Ahad is involved drafting suits, appeals and constitutional petitions etc. and rendering legal opinions to the clients on spot corporate and commercial issues.
