Laraib is a Senior Associate in the firm’s corporate team. She is involved in corporate, banking, commercial and equity matters and routinely works on transactions involving banking and finance which include corporate financing, restructuring and syndicate financing, both in conventional form and shariah compliant structures. Laraib was part of the team that handled the development of the first electronic bank guarantee solution in Pakistan by assisting Engro Fertilizers Limited and MCB Bank Limited on the relevant legal framework, drafting the requisite agreements and advising on the operational structure. In addition, she regularly liaises with international law firms to review and advise on the impact of the relevant laws of Pakistan on business activities intended to be carried out by international clients.
Laraib has a range of experience in research, opinions, due diligence projects and drafting and vetting of agreements, particularly finance agreements and security documents.
