SHC Dismisses Appeal Filed Against Order of Company Judge

Mohsin Tayebaly & Co. appeared on behalf of several respondents in a High Court Appeal filed by a minority shareholder of a company against an order of the Company Judge of the High Court of Sindh.

The Appellant had challenged an order passed in a petition filed under the companies jurisdiction of the High Court of Sindh before a Division Bench of the same court. Talha Javed, Senior Associate, argued that under Section 6(14) of the Companies Act, 2017, an appeal from an order of the Company Judge of the High Court only lies before the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Division Bench noted our arguments and the High Court Appeal filed against our clients was dismissed.
