MTC Advises Bank Alfalah On Finance Facility Of AED 36.7 Million Being Availed By AsiaPak Investments

Mohsin Tayebaly & Co. was engaged as the Pakistan legal counsel with respect to the finance facility in the aggregate amount of up to AED 36,730,000/- (UAE Dirhams Thirty Six Million Seven Hundred Thirty Thousand), being the UAE Dirham equivalent of USD 10,000,000/- (United States Dollars Ten Million), being availed by AsiaPak Investments Limited from Bank Alfalah Limited (Dubai Branch), for which purpose various associated companies of AsiaPak Investments Limited, including TNB Power Daharki Limited, Liberty Daharki Pakistan Limited, Retailo Technologies Holding Limited, K Power Holdings Limited, Sage Venture Group Limited and Retailo Pakistan (Private) Limited, agreed to provide third party commitments and undertakings in connection to the facility.

The firm’s scope of work included full-scope financier side advisory from a Pakistani law perspective, coordinating with the foreign counsel teams engaged in the transaction, and conducting legal due diligence on various key agreements.

MTC extends its sincere appreciation to the Ogier team acting as Cayman and BVI legal counsel, the BLC Robert & Associates team serving as Mauritius legal counsel, and the Hogan Lovells team providing legal counsel under English and ADGM law, as well as the teams at Bank Alfalah Limited and AsiaPak Investments Limited and its associated companies, for ensuring a smooth and successful closing of the transaction.
