MTC Advises Mega Motor Co. On The Development And Financing Of Pakistan’s First Electric Vehicle Plant

Mohsin Tayebaly & Co. has advised Mega Motor Co. (MMC) on the development and financing of Pakistan’s first large-scale New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturing plant. MMC, as the official partner of BYD (a global leader in electric vehicles), will manufacture and assemble BYD NEVs at the new facility. This marks a significant step forward in advancing sustainable transportation in Pakistan.

The project is being partially financed by British International Investment, reflecting continued international support for green infrastructure and development through climate-focused finance.

The MTC deal team was led by Vaseeq Khalid (Partner) and Hamza Shaikh (Partner) with support from Haya Iftikhar (Managing Associate).
