Arshad M. Tayebaly Provides Expert Report in LCIA Arbitration
Recently, Mr. Arshad M. Tayebaly, Senior Partner, was engaged to provide an expert report on Pakistani law in arbitration proceedings before the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Mr. Tayebaly’s report contained a detailed discussion on various aspects of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, particularly on classification of “condensate” for the purpose of obtaining benefit under a Federal Government notification that prescribed a zero rating for imports and supplies of petroleum crude oil.
Mr. Tayebaly’s report also assessed the applicability of provisions that mandate contributions to the Worker’s Participation Fund for foreign registered companies.
