Sindh High Court Grants Bail in Hascol NBP Trial

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, granted post arrest bail to all accused in Case No. 02 of 2022 arising out of FIR No. 01 of 2022 lodged at the Commercial Banking Circle, Federal Investigation Agency, Karachi.

The matter pertained to loans that were disbursed to Hascol Petroleum Limited from various banks, including the National Bank of Pakistan. The alleged default was of Pak Rupees 54 billion. MTC was representing three bank officers.

Arshad M. Tayebaly, Senior Partner, led the arguments on behalf of the accused. After hearing Mr. Tayebaly in detail, the Hon’ble Division Bench headed by Justice Iqbal Kalhoro, granted post arrest bail to all accused on surety bonds of Pak Rupees 1 million each.

MTC’s team in the matter also included Talha Javed, Senior Associate, Abdul Ahad Nadeem, Senior Associate, and Sameer Tayebaly, Senior Associate.
